Ashleigh Baker is our Director of Marketing. Her job is to get you as excited about HotelFurniture.com as we are! Ashleigh has over a decade of experience in marketing, ranging from family-run businesses to start-ups to mature companies who want to rebrand, refocus, or launch new products. Throughout it all, Ashleigh has been driven by a passion to help businesses grow, thrive, and achieve their goals.
After completing her Undergraduate and Masters degrees, Ashleigh enjoyed developing her own approach to marketing:
“I think a lot of people think of marketing as too sales-focused and even too intrusive. That isn’t my kind of marketing, and it isn’t why I got into the field. I love the idea of solution sharing through products and services that truly benefit the customer and end-user”
While she has experience in a wide variety of industries, Ashleigh is especially drawn to the hospitality industry.
“So many owners and workers are in it because they’re passionate about it - they love their restaurant, or they love to travel, or, of course, they love their hotels and what that offers to guests. We see so many families involved in the process and running these hotels, and seeing the passion behind it all is really inspiring.”
Looking for a place to contribute to the hotel industry, HotelFurniture.com discovered a new, faster, easier way for hoteliers to conduct guest room renovations and new-builds so that you can focus on running your hotel.
“More and more I see innovative and useful solutions come out that improve our way of life and ease of doing things, from ordering online to health and wellness, to improving our jobs. I know for many it seems overwhelming or there is a preference to continue doing things the way they always have, but for me, tech is extremely exciting and if there is a way to make my work, life, health, finances, and more, easier, I’m interested!”
With so much marketing experience, what makes working with HotelFurniture.com especially exciting?
“So many things! The supportive team, the fantastic culture, the innovative product, the collaboration, the transparency and honesty in everything that we do… it’s such a refreshing work environment and allows us to put our all into what we are working towards. I think that really comes out in our conversations with the industry and customers, and our relationships with everyone. One of my favorite things we ever did was setting our values and knowing that those values are a true reflection of us because that’s who we are and that’s how we wanted to show up every day.”
Above all else, the team at HotelFurniture.com wants to improve the industry and bring new technologies to the hands of hoteliers to make your job easier. This is what inspires Ashleigh in her work:
“There are so many wonderful things about HF that I just want to show and share with everyone. If there was just one thing, it would probably be: new technology can seem scary and there’s so much uncertainty in change, especially during uncertain times. BUT. We are with you every step of the way and are there for you throughout it all. There are ways to help streamline your operations and save money and it is worth exploring that.”
Constantly following innovation and inspiration, Ashleigh has worked across 10 different international markets, beginning in Australia where she is originally from, and landing now in North America. In her spare time, the excitement continues with fencing and kickboxing.
